we offer zumba, turbo kick and yoga
Why you should workout with Better Bodies.
It's simple. You add convenience to all areas of life, so do the same with exercise. Better Bodies negates the need to drag yourself to the gym every day.
A Better Bodies trainer arrives at a time convenient to you. We offer a true 'gym on wheels', ready to transform the smallest efficiency apartments or the grandest of living rooms into a 'one-hour' gym. We carry everything you need to exercise effectively and safely. You have the flexibility to train where you like, when you like, freeing up your time to do other things.
More importantly you have access to an experienced and knowledgeable trainer, steering you in the right direction to achieve your fitness goals, improve your nutrition and change your lifestyle for the better, while devising a fun, challenging and ever-changing program of exercise for you. Potentially, you have a portable gym at your disposal, so why not make the most of it?
Better Bodies provides comprehensive fitness programs to individuals, residents of apartment complexes (including an assisted living community for seniors), Education Groups (East Austin Prep Academy) and corporations. Better Bodies also provides group training classes, individual one on one sessions and Advanced Athletic Training Sessions. If you are looking for a Zumba, Turbo Kick or Yoga, we offer that too!

Herb Ware began his career over 20 years ago working with special needs children at the Austin State School. After learning CPR and how to care for severely handicapped people, he moved on to hone his teaching skills at various Austin schools for special needs children, culminating with a position as a Teacher Assistant for Rosedale School where he plays an influential role in the lives of many special needs children.
Herb’s interest in fitness training began while working one on one with a close family member at a local gym. Training seemed to come naturally to Herb and he now jokes about how people thought he was a trainer before he even realized his desire to become one. In many ways Herb is self-taught when it comes to fitness training, but once he realized his passion for training he studied and passed the ISSA exam and became a Certified Fitness Trainer.
With his fitness training certification under his belt and years of experience caring for and educating others, Herb joined the Better Bodies team in 2006. Herb’s passion for fitness training runs so deep that there is hardly a moment that goes by when he is not dreaming up new exercises for his clients. His training style is highly motivating and informative. He jumps in and demonstrates every move that he asks his clients to perform and pushes them to their limits, taking into consideration the particular level of ability of each client, who can range in age from children to seniors.
Don’t ever say the word “can’t” to Herb who has endured three hip surgery operations resulting in one resurfaced hip joint and one replaced hip joint which includes a rod running 8” down inside his femur. He has been able to bounce back from these multiple surgeries with an even stronger understanding of what it is like to train with an affliction. The combination of the care he shows for the wellbeing of his clients, his exceptional ability to educate and motivate his clients, and his pure passion for fitness sets Herb apart as one of Austin’s top fitness trainers.

Larry Shaw is a certified personal trainer focused on football training. I have been involved in youth sports for 27 years. My involvement in sports initially was as a favor to a friend, but I soon found a passion for working with youth. The ability to connect with them and motivate them in the process of developing and nurturing talent came naturally. A native Austin resident, I have watched the evolution of sports in the central Texas area, I am inspired to help improve the landscape of sports and making sure young athletes are fulfilling their full potential. That is how I got involved with working at ports camps and combines around the country.
As a camp counselor with Football University I have had the privilege of working with some of the best college coaches, NFL coaches and former players. That eventually led to coaching a national middle school All American game associated with The US Army All American High School game. This has led to numerous opportunities to work with some of the best young talent in the country. This gave me the motivation and incentive to pursue football training.
My focus is always on developing technique and making sure my clients achieve their most out of their skill set. This is done through proper evaluation and education of the individual athletes. A student of the game and athletic training provides me with the ability to alter training programs and regimen geared toward the individual shortcomings and needs.
Larry combines his education, athletic background and football connections and coaching experience to help his clients achieve their desired fitness goals.

Serious athletes should train year round. Ask any college or professional athlete and they'll tell that the season never ends.
Separate yourself from the other athletes: train in the pre-season, train during the season, and train during the post-season.
Better Bodies is dedicated to providing athletes with the latest training methods used by college and professional athletes around the world. An athlete trains year-round by breaking down 365 days into three periods: Off-season, Pre-season, and In-season.
Better Bodies will tailor a work out program for you and the sport or sports you play. We have former college and professional athletes that will provide an insight on making you a better athlete.
